LessonsI have been teaching privately since graduation from Oberlin. When I attended Indiana University I was exposed to and trained in the pedagogy of Susann McDonald and Linda Wood (Rollo), working under their supervision as a student teacher. I taught for 6 years (1996-2002) at Indiana University Southeast (New Albany), during which time I raised funding and the requisite interest for the department to purchase a concert grand harp. During the same time period I also taught in Louisville at the Ursaline School of Music and Drama, a private institution that earned its accreditation in 2002. I taught briefly at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati during the school year of 1998-9 and since 2005 have taught at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music’s Preparatory Department. My students have ranged in age from 5 years to septuagenarian, largely at the beginner and intermediate levels.
